From a Slashdot review:
“The Laidoff Ninja” is an extremely valuable resource on dealing with the mental stress and anguish that may come from being laid off. It presents creative and novel ways of finding jobs by leveraging social media. The book is a tool in itself that can help the reader survive and prepare for the battle that is a job-search, and do it in a highly effective way.

Maybe it’s not hopeless applying for a job at a new media Mega-corporation. Until you get hired, that is.

I am a faculty in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I research in the areas of robotics and prosthetics.
We are in immediate need for help with some graphic design and sketching work for my lab. I have a few jobs that an art student with some digital graphics background will be able to complete. This includes making digital sketches for our experimental set ups, drawings of our robot, concept design for future robots and website logo design etc. The artist will compensated appropriately for their work.
Would you be able to help me locate an artist who can help me?
Thanks for you time. Regards, Ashish Deshpande (via First Class)
