This baby can go offroading, up and down stairs, through snow, etc. It was made by a man who was frustrated with the lack of mobility that his wife had in her normal wheelchair, and now this man is making these things for people all over. He is going into debt by making them, because he feels that everyone who needs one should be able to have one. There is also the on-road model called the speedster, which operates in style.

This eco-group from M.I.T. has thought up a new way to create a tree house: use the living tree itself. There are many benefits to doing this, as mentioned on the site. They use a form of growth called “Pleaching to guide the plants’ growth to suit their needs. The plants grow on lattice, and are reenforced by clay for comfort and aesthetics.

Water, an essential tool for the survival of both the human and the home, goes through a series of species as is recycled. The home itself can be used as a food source for many creatures, including the garden for humans and animals.
