I think regardless of where you are located, using permaculture techniques are an excellent idea. Conservation of soil, energy and mind are all important. They save the environment, money and your sanity. Despite being an avid computer nut, a web developer and an electronics hobbyist, my primary goal in life is to develop a self sufficient homestead here in Central Maine.
